Halloween Party Info and Class Update
Wednesday: October 29th
Today the children really enjoyed their music class with Miss Elizabeth. They enjoyed a pretend campfire and sang songs about Halloween. The twinkling lights behind her inside the pumpkin faces set the mood for a fun music class. Slowly, each time we go to music, more and more of the children are participating and they sing and clap and have such fun! Then, we made "puffy shaving creme" painted pumpkins for art and had a great story about a square pumpkin saving the day! Ask your child what was his/her favorite part of their preschool day.

We did not go outside as the temperatures were still in the 30's during our scheduled time. We do try to go out on the playground on days that are 40's or higher, so please be sure your child has a warm coat, mittens, and maybe a hat on those days. Please also be sure to label everything!

We hope to see you all on Wednesday for our fun Halloween Celebration!

The children are doing great in the potty!! Good Job!!

I was listening to Carter on the monitor at nap time and wondering why he kept saying "I'm saving the day!!".. and also singing a song about a pumpkin being carved out ? :) Thanks for all you do.

This is so sweet. The children all had great attention spans during this story time. This book (forgive me, I do not have the title at home) was a cute story about how a square pumpkin "saved the day" at the pumpkin patch. The other "round" pumpkins rolled out of the patch and through a hole in the gate, but this square pumpkin blocked the hole and saved all of the pumpkins. I will send home the title and author Friday. It is a cute story and the children really enjoyed it. At Music class, we sang about different pumpkins and their faces showing different emotions (sad, funny, etc). I will try to tape them in class so you can see how they just love it! I love that he remembers everything so well!
